So graduation year was hard, it was not the actual process of transitioning, but the thought of transitioning. It was a continuous and agonizing thought that would appear at any giving moment and nag at you. During this year I struggled with deciding what I would do post graduation and what I was doing at the time. Ideally once we graduate life gets better, we are educated, independent and doing what we love to do, that’s the myth and perception we base entering college with. It is in no way shape or form reality.
We were asked to create a three look collection, to sum up our four long years spent at FIT. I racked my brain with what I would possibly do, having a love for bridal and evening wear, I chose not to go down that path to culminate the last four years. Instead I decided to do something that I typically wouldn’t do, I chose to experiment with dyeing, texture and silhouettes. I wanted to have fun and do what I may not have the opportunity to do post graduation. It’s safe to say that, the tailoring and effort that went into this defines my technical aesthetic not necessarily my immediate design aesthetic. I did what I wanted to do I had fun, my collection looks like m last for years, slightly hectic, exhausting, fun, intense and beautiful. I hope you like it and thanks for reading.

Here is me working on my collection, I look very involved huh.
The finished product !!!!
So Fashion Bomb Daily was been my sanity last semester (my 7th semester at FIT) it was one of the hardest semesters I had completed. One of my beliefs is when your going through something difficult, when it’s finally over you be a better person on account of it. And that I have become, at least I think so. I learned that there isn’t anything I can’t do. Despite having a full plate, juggling school, work, boyfriend and friends I was still able to make the Dean’s List! (taps myself on the back, ehhh em for the umpteenth time since I found out).
Mondays were the hardest, they seemed extremely drawn out, but I found myself checking fashionbomb. My poor blackberry underwent some abuse as I waited for my web page to load. This is one of the few blogs that have actual content, things that you want to know, and damn near something for everyone. Claire is the editor in chief for Fashion Bomb, and I think she is a good one, she seems to mediate well, and is good at remaining informative and relevant and fashion forward.
Every morning I wake up, the 1st things I check are my online stores, pantora and Pantora by Andrea then Fashion Bomb Daily and then my twitter page. This has been routine for the last couple months since I was told about Fashion Bomb from one my tweeple. It’s nice to read things that aren’t school related. Check out what has entertained me for the last couple months The Fashion Bomb Daily Hope you enjoy.

I discovered this online boutique called Mixx Medium On etsy (I am a huge etsy fan), the offers inexpensive accessories… By viewing I noticed that they specialize in Turbans and headbands. What do you think? . I ordered the snow leopard one.
What do think about it… My mom laughed and said she wore those in the early 70′s. But we all know the old becomes new again. I definitely don’t think this trend is for everyone but to each its own.

One of my favorite things about making custom wedding dresses are the pictures I receive after, its truly amazing to see someone enjoy something that you put hours days and sometimes weeks in.
The funny part is when they find out i’m only 21, it’s priceless. It was more entertaining when I was 19 but hey it’s still funny.
Her dress was made of satin and an overlay of dotted netting, and I made the adorable sash with the flowers. I had fun making this dress, Jessica was really sweet.
